Miriam's inspiring talk at the AWFC Professional Development Seminar

 "Bring in who you are, not just what you do" - Miriam Cutler. Emmy-nominated Miriam Cutler (Love, Gilda) gave an inspiring Professional Development Seminar last night for the Alliance for Women Film Composers. No subject was off-limits at the "How I Built A Long and Satisfying Scoring Career" event. Miriam covered musical storytelling, her writing process, the importance of flexibility & availability, strategies of communication & asking the right questions, and different aspects of collaboration. Her presentation of the tools she uses in her studio was super helpful. And of course, her insights on helping filmmakers have confidence in the composers' ability.
